Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about VAPT, our services and how we work.
Which international standards do you work to?
ISO 27001, ISO 27701 and ISO 42001, SOC 1/2/3, GDPR, PCI DSS and PCI SSF, the NIST frameworks and OWASP — delivered as readiness, assessment and advisory services.
Can you support cross-border and multi-region requirements?
Yes. We help organisations meet international standards and reconcile cross-border security and privacy obligations, with the same senior-led team and methodology worldwide.
Are you an accredited certification body?
No. We provide consulting, readiness, assessment and audit-support services. Independent certification and attestation are issued by accredited certification bodies or licensed CPA firms, whom we work alongside.
What is VAPT?
VAPT stands for Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing. A vulnerability assessment identifies and prioritises security weaknesses; penetration testing safely attempts to exploit selected weaknesses to prove real-world impact. Together they help you understand your exposure and plan remediation.
What cybersecurity services does CyberAlpha offer?
We cover penetration testing (web, mobile, API, network, cloud), source-code and configuration review, compliance and certification support (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, GDPR, DPDP, HIPAA), and advisory/managed services such as vCISO, red teaming and security awareness.
How do I choose a cybersecurity company?
Compare relevant technical experience, clear scope definition, methodology, safe testing practices, sample reporting, remediation guidance and retesting arrangements. Ask who performs the work, how findings are validated and how sensitive evidence is handled — choose on demonstrable capability, not claims alone.
How can I improve my company’s cybersecurity posture?
Know your assets and risks, enforce least-privilege access and MFA, patch promptly, test regularly (VAPT), monitor for threats, and prepare an incident-response plan. Prioritise improvements by risk and track them to closure rather than chasing every control at once.
How often should a company conduct VAPT?
Frequency should reflect your risk, data sensitivity, internet exposure and rate of change. Organisations commonly reassess after major releases, infrastructure changes or incidents, alongside a planned recurring schedule (often annually or more frequently for high-risk systems).
What does a VAPT report contain?
A useful report includes an executive summary, scope and limitations, testing dates and methodology, risk-ranked findings with evidence and business impact, remediation recommendations, and a conclusion. A free retest summary documents whether fixes were effective.
